Historic St. Johns Church | 2401 E. Broad St. | Sat. 10 a.m.-4 p.m, Sun. 12-4 p.m. | Costumed tour guides lead you through the centuries-old building where Patrick Henry gave the “Give Me Liberty or Give Me Death” speech.
Chimborazo Park | 315 E. Broad St. | Sat./Sun. 9 a.m.-4:30 p.m. | Once the site of Chimborazo Hospital, one of the world’s largest military hospitals, the park is a National Historic Landmark with some of the best views in the city.
Church Hill C&O Tunnel | 401 N. 18 St. | The only visual reminder of a horrible railway tunnel collapse 96 years ago, October 2, 1925. At least 2 men and 10 cars are buried, locked away behind this East entrance.
