Riverfront Canal Cruises sail into the end of the season

Richmonders have three more days to ride Riverfront Canal Cruises before the service closes for the colder seasons.
The 40-minute historically narrated tours leave on the hour from the Canal Turning Basin on Virginia Street. Each boat holds 28 passengers .
While cruising along the James River and into the Kanawha Canal, guests will learn of Richmond’s history across the centuries. From the canal’s connection with the Atlantic Slave Trade, to the development of the Triple Crossing railroads, all the way to modern refurbished tobacco warehouses, to the miles of Virginia Capital Trail on the Canal Walk.
Tickets must be purchased at least a day ahead of time online, and are $12 for adults, $8 for children. Catch a cruise from Friday, Nov. 11-Sunday, Nov. 13 from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m.
