How would you splurge in Richmond if you won the jackpot?

What would you do with some extra cash? Oh, us? We’d staycation in the Jefferson Suite, buy a new boat to take on the James, or rent The Byrd for a private movie night.

The good news: You could win big with the Virginia Lottery (if you’re over 18, of course). From January through August 2024, players won or claimed more than $2.8 billion in total prize dollars before taxes. That’s a lot of boats.

All of the games in the Lottery’s lineup offer a chance to win. Here’s what’s on the roster:

  • Scratchers | This is the Lottery’s most well-known game; just scratch your ticket to win.
  • Print ‘n Play | Formats include bingo, crosswords, and blackjack.
  • Draw games | Think: Mega Millions and Powerball.
  • Online games | Yes, you could play right now.

Hey RIC — remember us if you win.
