GRTC is in the midst of creating its Transit Strategic Plan , which will outline the transit company’s goals in Richmond for the next decade. Now in the second phase of the planning process, GRTC has released a series of proposed changes including route updates, additions, and service improvements.

Recommendations span from expanding hours of service and increasing frequencies to adding entire routes. Here are a few highlights:
- East-West Pulse | Extending the Pulse line west from Willow Lawn to Parham Road by adding two stations, plus improving frequencies
- North-South BRT | Introducing a North-South version of the Pulse that starts on Chamberlayne at Azalea Avenues, goes downtown, crosses the Manchester Bridge, then travels down Hull Street and Midlothian Turnpike
- Route 1 | Expand Route 1 north to reach the Virginia Center Commons redevelopment site
- Airport Express | Add an express route to Richmond International Airport from downtown

The survey will be open until Wednesday, Dec. 27. It’ll let you provide feedback on up to three routes, but if you’d like to comment on more, you can fill out the survey more than once.
