Cushman & Wakefield | Thalhimer is now the managing company for the new Rise at Regency Apartments.
The Parham Road residency is operating where Regency Square, formerly the Regency Square Mall, has been a part of Richmond since 1975. In fact, the 320 apartment complex is going up right where the Sears store sat, and is pre-leasing spots now.

Over the past three years, rebuilding Regency was the name of the game. The mall itself was partially razed at the beginning of 2020, but several businesses have already made a home in the remnants.
NOVA of Virginia Aquatics and Surge Adventure Parks have opened in the former Macy’s location. An outdoor plaza is also in construction on the second level.
What’s coming next? The land is zoned for both residential and commercial use. According to Richmond BizSense , there is another apartment complex approved for the JC Penney lot. Plans are also in the works for a movie theater, a senior center and a Valvoline Auto Center.
