10 can’t-miss concerts and shows in Richmond this winter

Richmond will be star-studded at the start of 2025 with a wide range of concerts and shows taking place in the winter season.

Winter may be here, but a little snow and wind never stopped us from having a good time in Richmond.

That’s why we are loading up our calendar this season with live concerts, comedy shows, tribute acts, and theater performances. These are the 10 can’t-miss shows coming to The River City in January and February.

January

  • Dancing With The Stars | Tuesday, Jan. 7 | 7:30 p.m. | Altria Theater | Watch celebrities break out their best moves, including Olympic medalist Stephen Nedoroscik.
  • Tom Segura | Friday, Jan. 10 | 7 p.m. + 9:30 p.m. | Altria Theater | Standing as one of the biggest comedians in the industry, this not-safe-for-work show is sure to make you laugh (or clutch your pearls).
  • Taylor Tomlinson | Friday, Jan. 17 + Saturday, Jan. 18 | Times vary | Altria Theater | Prepare to laugh with this critically acclaimed comedian and host of “After Midnight” on CBS.
  • Celebration of Black Music in Film | Saturday, Jan. 18 | 8 p.m. | Carpenter Theater | The Richmond Symphony will perform music created by Black artists, such as Luther Vandross and Isaac Hayes.
  • Alice in Wonderland | Thursday, Jan. 30-Sunday, Feb. 1 | Times vary | Carpenter Theater | Watch this mind-bending tale while 70+ aerialists perform daring stunts.
  • Saved by the 90s | Friday, Jan. 31 | 8 p.m. | The National | Relive the music of three decades ago with this cover band that features Broadway talent.

February

  • Steve Treviño | Sunday, Feb. 2 | 8 p.m. | Carpenter Theater | Dubbed “America’s Favorite Husband,” this stand-up comedian has amassed 2+ million social media followers through his relatable style of humor.
  • Dirty Dancing In Concert | Tuesday, Feb. 4 | 8 p.m. | Dominion Energy Center | Watch a digitally remastered version of the hit film and stick around for an encore party featuring a live band performing popular songs.
  • Sam Morril | Wednesday, Feb. 5 | 7:30 p.m. | The National | This longtime comic and popular podcaster is known for his dry and deadpan delivery of hilarious jokes.
  • Cinderella | Friday, Feb. 14-Sunday, Feb. 16 | Times vary | Dominion Energy Center | Take your Valentine to watch this timeless story about happily ever afters.
