Printmaking studio and arts nonprofit Studio Two Three is purchasing the Manchester building once home to the Dogtown Dance Theatre, which closed earlier this year.

Right now, Studio Two Three leases a space in Scott’s Addition. It hosts community events, craft markets, and arts classes in addition to providing space for 180 member artists.

The nonprofit plans to close the deal in November, with financial help from grants and an ongoing fundraising drive.

Once purchased, renovations will begin to transform the three-story building. The performance space on the second floor will remain. The first floor will become a printmaking shop and the main floor will be converted into an artist workspace. The building also needs a new roof.

Studio Two Three wants to make the move in April.
