  • What can women do to ensure optimal postpartum health?
  • Do I need to avoid sex before my annual exam?
  • I’m afraid I’m addicted to my hormone replacement therapy. At what age should women stop?
  • I’m an adult woman, I don’t know what I should be eating, and I’m embarrassed to admit it.
  • Am I too overweight to get pregnant?*

News Notes
Traffic
  • Starting on Wednesday, May 10, operate with caution near the Monument Avenue roundabout at Allen Avenue. The southbound lanes of Allen will be closed so city crews can install landscaping within the circle. Work should be complete by Friday, July 7.
Outdoors
  • The pedestrian bridge to Texas Beach will remain closed through the summer. Public safety officials deemed it structurally unsafe back in September, citing it as at risk of potential collapse. There is no public access point to Texas Beach at this time. (Richmond Times-Dispatch)
City
  • DPW crews will be in the Bellemeade neighborhood tomorrow for the clean-up program. Leave furniture, mattresses, tires, appliances, and other trash on the curb or in alleys for pickup from 8 a.m.-12 p.m. Check the list of unacceptable items.
Edu
  • There will be another public hearing for the George Wythe High School community to discuss the school renaming project. Head to the school’s auditorium on Wednesday, May 17 at 6 p.m. to share your preferences.
Festival
  • The free, family-friendly ¿Qué Pasa? Festival is happening tomorrow at Brown’s Island from 12-8 p.m. Local restaurants, artists, vendors, and entertainers will celebrate Hispanic and Latin American cultures.
Arts
  • Arts in the Park returns to Byrd Park this weekend. Explore work by 350+ artisans from 11 a.m.-6 p.m. tomorrow and 11 a.m.-5 p.m. on Sunday. Pro tip: If you’re driving, park at City Stadium and take the free shuttle to the event.
Shop
  • Halcyon Vintage’s spring rummage sale is this weekend. Clothing and accessories will be available for bargain prices tomorrow from 11 a.m.-5 p.m. and Sunday from 12-5 p.m.
  • Tomorrow is Free Comic Book Day. Get special deals at Third Eye Comics in Short Pump and Mechanicsville or head to Richmond Comix in Midlothian for author and artist visits.
Theater
  • Virginia Rep’s production of “Beautiful: The Carole King Musical” has its star. Award-winning local actress Grey Garrett will play King in the production’s June 23-August 6 run at The November Theatre. Get tickets here.
