A growing Woodland Heights event series returns this Sunday. For the past two months, various houses in the Southside neighborhood have hosted Tiny Porch Concerts featuring local artists and open to residents, friends, and community members.
This month, the event is going “South of Semmes” with three host porches. Check out the map to plan a route around the neighborhood. Sets are staggered so attendees can enjoy multiple performances.

The Virginia Museum of History and Culture is hosting a new event on Saturday, Nov. 4 for historians, practitioners, and members of the public. The inaugural History Matters Symposium will feature 12 panels highlighting groundbreaking research into Virginia history. Registration is open.
