Work is underway on Springline at District 60, a mixed-use development project in Chesterfield County. The first phase of construction will see 298 apartment units and 28,000 sqft of retail space go up.
County leaders announced the 42-acre development and began demolition in March. The new project was described as a mixed-use urban village to replace the old Spring Rock Green shopping center at the intersection of Route 60 and Chippenham Parkway.
The first phase of mixed-use development will center around The James at Springline. The $80+ million project is scheduled for completion in 2025. In addition to apartments and retail, plans for the first phase include an office building, common area, sports entertainment venue, market, and parking garage.
Springline will also eventually house a new precinct for CCPD as well as walking and bike trails and public green space.
