Calling all Caniacs. Raising Cane’s is now open on Arthur Ashe Boulevard across from the Diamond. It’s the chicken chain’s third location in the Richmond area. The new Cane’s is part of the Scott’s Walk development, which will also include a Starbucks and Chipotle. (Richmond Times-Dispatch)

Bellevue will soon have a new juice bar. Owner Tricia Walker wants to open You Matter in mid-February. It’ll serve juices, smoothies, bowls, and salads in a mostly grab-and-go capacity. (Richmond BizSense)
Eat
New Jersey-based chain Ugly Dumpling is coming to Willow Lawn. The restaurant’s menu features Shanghai-style soup dumplings, wontons, noodle dishes, and dim sum. It should open in the space between Lucky Foot and Simply Safe this summer.
Outdoors
Curious about the Fall Line Trail? Sports Backers has created a Fall Line Vision Plan filled with possible connections and amenities for all of its 43 miles. Get a first look at the vision at a webinar with PlanRVA on Monday, Feb. 5 at 10 a.m.
Festival
Tickets are on sale for the Cozy ol’ Brewgrass Festival, which will take place at Riverside Outfitters on 14th Street on June 20. The fourth year of the fundraiser fest will include music, vendors, local brews, and food from Tiny Vegan, 1115 Mobile Kitchen, and Goatocado.
Active
Registration is open for the Wood River Run, which will take place on April 27. The casual 5K takes runners along Riverside Drive and ends at Pony Pasture. Strollers and leashed dogs are welcome. Funds raised go towards Friends of James River Park programs.
Trivia
Ever done trivia at Bingo, Cabo Fish Taco, or Garden Grove? Meet the couple behind the local trivia business Ball of Fire Entertainment. Owner Teresa Gigante and her husband Mike organize 22 weekly games in the area. (Richmond Family Magazine)
