News Notes

Development

Capstone Development is reportedly the only team in active negotiations with the city to lead the City Center redevelopment. The project will replace the Coliseum with mixed-use spaces and a convention center hotel. (Richmond BizSense)

Regional

Hanover County is deciding what to do with the former Henry Clay Elementary School building. The school division transferred ownership of the 10.5-acre property to the county in October. Hanover will host community meetings in January and February to gather suggestions. (VPM)

Community

The city is collaborating with Clean City Commission and CVWMA to host its 16th annual Bring One for the Chipper event on Saturday, Jan. 11 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Bring Christmas trees to recycle, documents to shred, and other items to dispose of.
