I loved my trip to see the new VCUarts exhibit. Honestly, art can be intimidating to me sometimes — I can feel slightly defeated when I don’t understand at first glance.
This exhibit demands some extra time and thought, but I found it so worth the effort in the end. The collection is deeply human, and it’s astounding how much work was involved — a comforting reminder of Richmond’s rich creative capacity.
If you get to visit, let me know which piece of art moved you the most.
