My order: A Haitian patty, iced coffee, and a strawberry milk. I couldn’t limit myself to just one drink. | Photos by RICtoday and C & P Baking Co.
I stopped by C & P Baking Company during my lunch hour to offer a first-hand, fresh-off-the-mind editor’s pick.
This Haitian-inspired bakery opened its doors back in March, and I got to chat with the sweet-as-pastries owner, Sherwin Pilley, during my visit.
A few things I learned from our chat:
C & P leans into seasonal produce for sweet and savory treats. Right now, Pilley is working with ingredients like zucchini, broccoli rabe, blueberries, and peaches.
Every Saturday, the shop rolls out a special cinnamon roll flavor, including chocolate chip, chai latte, and peach cobbler.
C & P hosts trivia every Thursday at 7 p.m.
