Local university students will be returning to campuses across Richmond throughout August. Even if you’re not dropping off a student, college move-in processes will impact traffic during peak commuting hours.
We’ve outlined when and where certain neighborhoods could see some traffic.

A new sci-fi show created by Richmond native Vince Gilligan — who also created “Breaking Bad” + co-created “Better Call Saul” — will air on AppleTV starting Nov. 7. “Pluribus” has already been renewed for a second season + you can watch the trailer online. (The Richmond Times-Dispatch)

CBS 6 Weather Dog Walter — a maintstay of the station’s weather broadcasts — died last week from lymphoma. The 12-year-old yellow lab was the personal pet of Chief Meterologist Zach Daniel, and made his on-air debut in a Monument Avenue 10K training video.

Tomorrow, two bald eagles will be released into Pocahontas State Park in Chesterfield, after completing rehabilitation at the Wildlife Center of Virginia in Waynesboro. The young eagles were both found injured earlier this year. (ABC 8 News)
