Richmond International Film Festival returns to the River City next week from Tuesday, Sept. 23, through Sunday, Sept. 28. If you don’t have a Letterboxd account — it’s like social media, but for film lovers — this is your chance to start strong.
Screenings + events
This year’s festival includes 170+ films from over 25 countries, along with a lineup of music acts.
Most screenings will take place at The Byrd Theatre or Bowtie Cinemas, but you can also expect to find a variety of showcases, panels, and live performances around the city.
Editor Elise: In the full article, I dish out my advice on how to catch a screening and attend a gala-worthy event for $30 in total — maybe a few extra bucks toward a thrift-worthy idea.
Bonus: Spider Brews (read: an all-inclusive pregame tailgate featuring local bites + craft beer) returns on Saturday, Sept. 20 and Saturday, Nov. 15 — the first touchdown of the season.
