The City of Richmond is moving forward with two developments included in “The Shockoe Project” — memorializing the Shockoe Bottom African Burial Ground and improving Reconciliation Plaza. The plaza currently hosts this international statue. Two identical versions stand in England and Africa. (WRIC)
