Development
The site of a former Hardee’s in Scott’s Addition will transform into an 11-story hotel and parking garage. The hospitality hub will include a rooftop bar and lounge, a pocket park on North Arthur Ashe Boulevard, and a pedestrian crosswalk on Broad Street connecting to the developing Diamond District. The South Carolina brunch chain Vicious Biscuit is venturing into Bon Air. Check out the menu, which features brunch cocktails, build-your-own bowls, and quite a few gluten-free options (including biscuits). Local creative hub Passion Project RVA (and its free-food fridge) is moving from Main Street to the corner of North Ryland + West Grace streets. The “third space” hosting 25+ artists awaits a reopening date, but the community fridge is already up and running.
Civic
Yesterday, Jan. 20, Henrico’s Board of Supervisors appointed its first permanent members of the Sustainability and Resiliency Advisory Committee (SRAC). Meet the team. The group will meet on the first Wednesday of every month at 6 p.m.
