For the first time since 2018, the Kickers will play in front of a national audience . The Roos’ home match against Forward Madison FC on July 3 will be broadcast on CBS Sports Network.
The match marks the return of the Henny Derby , a fan-led rivalry that started in 2019 when Kickers supporter Elliot Barr and Madison fan Kyle Carr wagered a bottle of Hennessy over the clubs’ first meeting. Over the years, the competition has escalated to include a trophy and fan gatherings.
The broadcast is part of USL League One’s deal with CBS Sports and ESPN to put a record number of league games on national television.
