We’ve found 10 quirky culinary chomps + boozy beverages on brunch menus across the River City.

Hangover Cure Burger | Social 52 Kitchen & Craft Bar, 2619 W. Main St.

Some of us need a heavy meal to recover after a night out on the town. The Hangover Cure Burger’s beef patty, over-easy egg, bacon + pickle chips makes for a lunch-like savory option for Fan brunchers.

Sweet Heat Waffle | Hot Chick, 7th N. 17th St.

A little sweetness, a little spice + lots of cheese makes the Sweet Heat Waffle at this chicken joint a Shockoe standout. The Memphis-style hot sauce with creamy homemade mac & cheese can fill you up through dinnertime.

Shareable Cinnamon Bun | Bar Solita, 123 W. Broad St.

No thoughts, only icing. Get the whole crew in on this dessert/brunch special, topped with blueberries and strawberries. Pro tip: Sweet tooths should pair this bun with some bubbly.

Benny Goodman | Perly’s, 111 E. Grace St.

We’re sing sing singing the praises of this different kind of brunch Benny. Get in all your food groups with two potato latkes topped with smoked salmon + poached eggs covered in a dill hollandaise.

Salad of Beets | Can Can Brasserie, 3120 W. Cary St.

If you need a little green to start your day, the Salad of Beets features goat cheese, candied hazelnuts + corn salad (also known as mâche.). Try it with the Hazelnut Vinaigrette to complete the taste palette.

Maggie Walker Martini | The Speakeasy Grill at the Hippodrome Theater, 526 N. 26th St.

One of Richmond’s most influential Black leaders is honored with a drink at a theater known for decades of Black entertainment. This martini blossoms with apple + melon flavors with a splash of sweet-and-sour mix. Cheers to you, Maggie.

Millie’s Famous Bloody Mary | Millie’s Diner, 2603 E. Main St.

Bloody Marys are a brunch staple, but Millie’s Diner has made them their own for over 30 years with its housemade mix. No Zig-Zag in sight at this Richmond classic.
