The Richmond International Film Festival returns to the River City from Tuesday, Sept. 26 through Sunday, Oct. 1. This year’s festival includes 195 films from over 15 countries and 35 musical acts.

Most film screenings will take place at the Byrd Theatre and Movieland, but there are events all over — including an opening reception at Quirk, a summit at Pocahontas State Park, a mixer at Vagabond, and the RIFF Music Fest from 1 to 10 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 29 at Hardywood.

Passes, VIP badges, and single tickets are available now. If you’re buying a pass, make sure to get that first and then you’ll be able to reserve your space at events around town.

Pro tip: Use the Film Guide to find events that appeal to you — whether you’re looking for international films, music videos, animated shorts, or a specific genre like romance or thrillers.
