Every time we look around, it seems like something new is popping up in Richmond. Whether you’re looking for your next go-to brunch destination or a new public park to stretch your legs, we’re rounding up a few things coming soon to the River City.

Dining

The Mantu Express, 11636 W. Broad St. | Opening TBA | The owner of the Carytown Afghan restaurant The Mantu announced the expansion to the former Two Guys Pizza location.

Texas Inn, 2901 Park Ave. | Opening TBA | The iconic Lynchburg diner is coming to the Museum District.

Shoreline Seafood Market, 10614 Patterson Ave. | Opening TBA | This new project from David Whitby, former owner of Yellow Umbrella Provisions, will offer fresh and tinned seafood as well as a small menu for lunch and dinner.

Mason’s Famous Lobster Rolls, 14213 Winterview Pkwy. | Opening TBA | The Maryland-based fast-casual chain is bringing lobster rolls, lobster bisque, seafood salads, and more to Midlothian.

Abi’s Books+Brews, 1212½ W. Cary St. | Opening June 1 | This combination bookstore-coffeehouse will offer coffee, breakfast and lunch offerings, and thousands of books to read in-store before purchasing to take home.

Ballast, 1320 Summit Ave. | Opening TBA | This new spot from the team behind Yellow Umbrella will include a market space, Cirrus Vodka tasting room, and full-service restaurant.

Academy Sports + Outdoors, 10400 Midlothian Turnpike | Opening TBA | The sporting goods store plans to open a second location in the 63,000-sqft space at the Pocono Crossing shopping center in Midlothian.

Wilton Crossing, 11000 Tustin Ridge Ln. | Opening TBA | The next stage in the ongoing Avery Point development, this West Creek retirement community will open with 103 apartments sometime in the summer.

Business

Cosentino, 1324 N. Arthur Ashe Blvd. | Opening TBA | The longtime Mowbray Paint Co. building is becoming a showroom for the high-end building materials company.

7 Brew Coffee, 11 Le Gordon Dr. | Opening TBA | Developers in Chesterfield have purchased a lot with the intention of building the area’s first 7 Brew Coffee.

Chef’Store, 7821 Shrader Rd. | Opening TBA | A wholesale grocery and kitchen supply store, Chef’Store aims to serve restaurants and home cooks alike.

Sheetz, 7500 Staples Mill Rd. | Opening TBA | Now that zoning has been approved, Staples Mill will soon have a 24/7 drive-thru Sheetz across from the Amtrak station.

Yellow Umbrella Provisions, 5001 Libbie Mill E. Blvd., Suite 135 | The local market’s new Libbie Mill store has opened for business, offering prepared foods, seafood, baked goods, sushi, drinks, and more.

Farm + Oak, 3601 Cox Rd. | The latest offering from Lindsey Food Group, Farm + Oak serves Southern fare for brunch, lunch, and dinner.

ML Steakhouse, 328 E Broad St. | The restaurant’s second location, ML Steak’s Chesterfield Towne Center spot opened in March.

Perry’s Steakhouse & Grille, 11788 W Broad St. | This is the Texas-based restaurant’s first outpost in Virginia.

Lifestyle
Performance Pickleball RVA, 8641 Quioccasin Rd. | This Tuckahoe pickleball haven has 12 indoor courts and plans to add six more courts outdoors.

Virginia Sleep Center, online | The Scott’s Addition-based sleep therapy firm specializing in chronic insomnia launched in March.

You Matter, 4040 MacArthur Ave. | The Bellevue juice bar serve juices, smoothies, bowls, and grab-and-go salads.

Satellite, 1626 Ownby Ln. | Kindred Spirit Brewing’s new location in the city took over the former site of Castleburg Brewing.

Moving Mountains Tattoo Collective, 20 E. Broad St. | The new Arts District tattoo parlor is open for business.

Business
Neighborhood Laundromat, 10724 Hull Street Rd. | This is the local laundromat chain’s fourth location.

Lost Office Collaborative, 5000 Old Main St. | This new “rentable workplace” opened in Rocketts Landing in January. It’s available for companies to rent for events like workshops and team-building exercises.

Larry’s, 6786 Forest Hill Ave. | The brand-new boutique market features products from several local vendors.

Workbench RVA, 3310 Rosedale Ave. | After closing last year, the River City wood-working shop has reopened in a new space near the Diamond.
