According to the Richmond Times-Dispatch, the upcoming baseball stadium now has a schematic design .

The design hasn’t been released to the public, but it includes things like building dimensions, heating, and plumbing. The final stadium should have a capacity of at least 9,000.

The future ballpark will be the home of both the Flying Squirrels and VCU Baseball. It’s the centerpiece of the Diamond District redevelopment , which will take shape over the next decade around the new stadium. Groundbreaking should take place sometime in the next three months.
