A few spotlights to get you started:
Lillie Pearl
Embrace a familial legacy + appreciate some divine plating at this fine-dining spot with a name, logo, and menu curated in homage to Chef Michael Lindsey’s grandparents. Fun fact: Chef Lindsey has eight RVA businesses.
Soul Taco
Head downtown for a flavorful fusion of sharable plates and tacos. Owned by Trey Owens, this RVA spot made it onto Guy Fieri’s “Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives.”
Mama J’s
When I say Richmond staple… this Jackson Ward gem has been serving heart-warming food since 2009. Beyond the restaurant, you may know Velma Johnson (Mama J) for her work with various Richmond charities and initiatives.
Ruby Scoops
Rabie Kakmara has been baking since she was just five years old. Visit her vibrant Brookland Park spot for all things sorbet, sherberts, ice creams, and more.
