As the capital of Virginia, Richmond is vital to the region’s economy — and several companies are definitely taking advantage of our ideal location. We analyzed the list of the largest employers in the metro area from the Greater Richmond Partnership.

Health systems are three of the metro area’s biggest job providers. Bon Secours, VCU Health, and HCA Virginia are all in the top four. Capital One is also a major player in Richmond.

13,000 employees | Financial services | Goochland

From their office in Goochland, Capital One employs thousands of Richmonders. The bank holding company is based out of McLean, VA and is looking to fill jobs.

🏥 HCA Virginia Health System
11,200 employees | Healthcare | Chesterfield

HCA operates a network of six hospitals and four emergency centers in the Greater Richmond area. They are hiring nurses, therapists, technicians and more.

Bon Secours is a nonprofit Catholic health system based in Marriottsville, MD. There are open positions in the city and surrounding counties.
