Two local pizza businesses announced big plans this week.

This week marks an exciting new era in the realm of Richmond ‘za. With two major announcements shaking up the scene, let’s see what’s on the hot ‘n ready horizon.

Moving in

Since July, Pizzeria Delores has been firing up momentum with successful pop-ups at restaurants like Susie’s Delicatessen and Julio’s Bagels. Spotlight menus have featured Sicilian-style taste tests, including a house pie with spicy honey, The Veg Mob, and a Dee-Lo Special with 10 curated ingredients.

Fresh out of the oven, it seems Pizzeria Delores is ready to lock in its local reputation with a brick-and-mortar location. The team posted a short-and-sweet announcement earlier this week celebrating a 2026 opening, keys in hand.

Major makeover

Zorch’s Carytown space no longer accommodates the locals’ steadfast demand for ‘za. According to the team’s most recent announcement, it’s time for some significant interior renovations, like the ones you see on HGTV.

See what changes are in store to open the floor, extend the hours, and get more pizza in the hands of hungry Richmonders. Proposals are prepped and ready for city approval. In the meantime, Zorch announced an investment campaign to support the development.
