Delegate Lamont Bagby (D) will face Steve Imholt (R) in a special election to fill Jennifer McClellan’s seat in the Virginia Senate, after she was elected to the House of Representatives. The election will be held on Tuesday, March 28. Check if you’re in that district. (Richmond Times-Dispatch)

Movieland will no longer allowanyone under 17 to come to the movie theater after 7:30 p.m., with no exceptions. Starting Friday, March 3, a photo ID will be required in the evening. Bow Tie Management said the decision was made “at the request of our valued patrons.” 🎟 (ABC8 News)

The Dept. of Parks, Recreation, and Community Facilities is conducting its spring cleanup of city-owned cemeteries — that’s Barton Heights, Shockoe Hill, Oakwood, Riverview, Maury, and Mount Olivet — March 2-17. Today is the last day to remove flowers, decorations, and non-approved vases from lots. Work should be completed by Saturday, March 18.

The Richmond Black Restaurant Experience starts Sunday, March 5. The week-long culinary and cultural celebration kicks off with Mobile Soul Sunday in Monroe Park from 12-5 p.m. Check out the participating restaurants. Warning: This lineup will make you hungry.
