RVA Rapid Transit is hosting a Transit Talk to teach Richmonders how to use the new Transit Royale app. The free, virtual class will take place on Thursday, Jan. 25 at 1 p.m. Reserve your spot.

The RVA Sports Awards has announced that this year’s Community Champion Award will be given to Tony Squire, founder of Squires Basketball. The organization was Richmond’s first AAU boys basketball program and has been training young athletes since 1987.

102-year-old Bindy Gralow fulfilled a lifelong dream last Thursday, riding five laps around the Richmond Raceway at lightning-fast speeds. She told the raceway her wish was to go 103 mph — that’s 102 “plus one for good measure.” (Richmond Times-Dispatch)
