It’s your last week to see “McLean” at the ICA. The public artwork on the museum’s facade will go down on Monday, Aug. 12. It’s been on the building for over a year.
History
A new honorary street sign recognizing entertainer, entrepreneur, and activist August Moon can now be found at the intersection of 12th and Hull Street. RPS Superintendent Jason Kamras announced an endowed scholarship fund named for the “Mayor of Hull Street.” (CBS 6)

Coco + Hazel came away with the Golden Tomato Award after this year’s Hot Tomato Summer. The Bon Air shop got over 4700 votes for its tomato ice cream with candied basil sauce special. Jack Brown’s and Texas Inn came in second and third.

Pride Month might be June, but Virginia’s biggest Pride party takes place in September. The headlining acts for Pridefest 2024 will be Grammy-nominated band Tank and the Bangas as well as 90s dance icons Crystal Waters and Robin S.
The free event will take place on Saturday, Sept. 14 from 12-8 p.m. at the Bon Secours Training Center. Attendees can expect performances, a vendor market with 130+ booths, food, drinks, and family-friendly activities at the Youth Pride Pavilion.
