Saturday, Sept. 13, is Richmond E-Cycle Day. What does that mean? The City of Richmond will operate a drive-through at 1710 Robin Hood Rd. for residents to drop off unusable electronics, hazardous waste items, and recyclable paper.
It saves you from the household clutter, and it protects our waterways from pollution. Note: If your unwanted items are in working condition or repairable, consider bringing them to a local donation center.
Items can include:
Electronics, like computer systems + accessories, cables, televisions, scanners, printers, etc.
Hazardous waste, like bug spray, rodent poison, and oil-based paint
Up to five boxes or brown-bags of paper for shredding

Pacaso has already made $110 million+ in gross profits to date by disrupting the $1.3 trillion vacation home market, and the same big investors that backed Uber and eBay have already invested.
But unlike Austin’s previous companies, everyday investors (like you) can invest in Pacaso as a private company. Over 10,000 individuals already have.

“There’s not really anything to do other than walk around.” That’s what fifth-grader Marlo Alley at Chimborazo Elementary had to say about the school’s parking-lot-like playground. The current RPS budget denied funding for playground renovations, so Chimborazo is calling on the community to help fundraise for a safer, more play-worthy playground. (CBS 6)

As a former daycare + elementary worker, I know how important a proper playground is for kids in school. According to the Chimborazo fundraiser campaign, improved playground features would include new equipment, a safer traffic boundary, and a cushioned replacement for the asphalt.
The grassroots fundraiser has already garnered $8,000 and counting. If you aren’t in a position to donate but want to contribute, see how you can spread the word.
