Enjoy a screening under the stars on a (hopefully) cooler evening at these places to see outdoor movies in Richmond. Consider this a blanket pro tip to bring bug spray.

Classics in the Courtyard | Richmond’s First Baptist Church, 2709 Monument Ave. | This series runs on Thursday nights in August, starting with “Star Wars” on August 3 at 8:15 p.m.

Movies in the Outfield | The Diamond, 3001 N. Arthur Ashe Blvd. | Get tickets to watch “The Goonies” on Sunday, Aug. 27 at 7 p.m.

Movie in the Park | Three Lakes Park and Nature Center, 400 Sausiluta Dr. | Henrico Recreation and Parks is showing “Jurassic Park” on Friday, Aug. 4 at 8:15 p.m.

Goochland Drive-In Theater | 4344 Old Fredericksburg Rd. | This weekend’s “Barbie” screenings are bound to be popular. Pro tip: Be prepared for a ~40 minute drive from the city.
