Ground Control — a Raleigh-based company inspired by North Carolina’s part in pioneering aviation in the US — recently launched a line of Delta-8 products.

Delta-8 is 1 of 140+ compounds found in cannabis that has become increasingly popular due to the similarity to Delta-9 (aka tetrahydrocannabinol, the scientific name for THC). Many Delta-8 consumers report effects such as mild euphoria, improved mood, sleep benefits + pain relief, albeit at a less potent rate than THC.

Developed by Root Bioscience, a cannabis company founded in 2018, these products — made with quality and safety in mind — are meant for ages 21+ and created to showcase the potential wellness benefits of Delta-8.

Currently, Virginia has not banned Delta-8 + it is available locally. According to the Virginia Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, the hemp plant is legal, however, it has to have a THC level below 0.3%. Anything above that is illegal in the state, for now. Ⓟ
