Theater
  • Virginia Rep announced that it accomplished its goal of raising $600,000 by the end of September in order to avoid closing. Over 1,300 donors — 70% of them first-time contributors — helped to keep the theater company afloat as it faces a funding deficit.
Traffic
  • The grace period for nine speed cameras around the city has ended. First-time speeding offenders will be fined $50, and then $100 for each violation thereafter. (ABC 8News)
