🍺 A drink, “My Faire Lady?”

“My Faire Lady,” a Ren-Faire-inspired beer, will debut this Saturday, March 7. We’ll fill you in on the party details, but first, some background on the beer and its hand-painted crest.
About the beer
My Faire Lady is “a traditional Hefeweizen that’s historically inspired and timeless,” said Legend’s Pub Manager Haley Williams. “It’s a German-style unfiltered beer with a 4.2% ABV.”
The emblem (shown above) depicts a Renaissance-era woman wielding a sword and a rearing unicorn in homage to Legend’s logo (shown below).

Hand-painted with gouache and ink on paper simulating aged parchment, local artist Cheryn Rapp drew inspiration from “The Lady and the Unicorn,” a famous set of 15th-century tapestries.
A local restaurant group closed a $7.2M deal in Rocketts Landing to acquire the building housing two of its restaurants — The Boathouse + Island Shrimp Co. A representative of the group said they don’t anticipate any significant changes, but the deal does include 1.5 acres of nearby lots,which left us curious. (BizSense)

City
VCU and the City of Richmond shared a list of anticipated pedestrian safety improvements heading to campus in the coming months. Noted initiatives include red-light cameras, increased crosswalk times, a bike lane extension, and three more projects. (VCU News)

Any “Jeopardy” fans? Spoiler ahead. Richmonder Diana Miller earned a hometown win (and $16,399) last Friday, Feb. 27. The cherry on top: One of her correct answers was, “What is Richmond, Virginia?” Rewatch her Friday win, and see if she repeated the feat this past Monday, March 2.
