Richmond’s housing market runs quite the range. See what’s on the market, from million-dollar homes to our regional drive-in theater.

Channeling Frank Lloyd Wright, 13812 Rockport Landing Rd.

Whether you’re a fan of Wrightian architecture, eco-friendly infrastructure, or eclectic interior design, this 5,312-sqft home in Brandermill is worth a look, even if just to dream. Richmond Homes Magazine gave this home the spotlight back in 2010, and now we’re coming full circle.

Take a virtual tour of the 2009 home, which boasts a floating staircase, bamboo accents, five wells for nonpotable use, and waterfront views framed by floor-to-ceiling windows. The selling price? $2 million.

History on the hill, 2002 Princess Anne Ave.

A Queen Anne Victorian on Princess Anne Avenue — I mean, c’mon. Previously spotlighted on Zillow Gone Wild, this five-bedroom, six-bathroom home is for sale in Union Hill, overlooking the crested city skyline at Jefferson Park. Stained glass windows, tiled fireplaces, and a wraparound porch are just a few features that add to the antiquity of this 1925 home, which is selling for approximately $1.6 million.

Drive-in dream, 4344 Old Frederickburg Rd.

One of these is not like the others. Announced in late March, the Goochland Drive-In Theater is up for sale after 18 years of family ownership.

Here is what the owners shared with us about the decision to sell the property:

“It is business as usual at the drive-in. Movies to show, popcorn to pop, and guests to greet.

There has been some conjecture out there that either the business is hurting or we’re exhausted. Nothing could be further from the truth. All is well! We have only come to this bittersweet decision to sell now that our kids are grown. At this stage of our lives, it’s simply time to think of our next chapter and pursue new dreams.

The Goochland Drive-In Theater has become such an icon in Central Virginia, where so many families and friends have made great memories. Our hope is that it will continue on this path with new ownership.”
