To be or not to be?

We opt to be on Agecroft Hall’s grassy lawn for Richmond Shakespeare’s 26th festival season. Grab your lawn chairs and blankets, and experience Richmond’s theater scene, backed by a chorus of summer breezes. Bonus: DuCard Vineyards will be selling their wines at most performances during the festival season.

This year, Agecroft will host two programs: “Cyrano De Bergerac” and “A Midsummer Night’s Dream.” The festival will run from May 23 (adjusted due to a rain cancelation) through July 20 on Thursdays through Sundays at 7:30 p.m.

To help inspire your attendance, we put together some spoiler-free details about each play.

  • Playwright: William Shakespeare
  • Era of origin: Late 16th century (estimated)
