The first major section of the Fall Line Trail is complete — a 4.8-mile section linking the Ashland Trolley Line Trail to Woodman Road in Henrico County. Vision plans for the finalized project include 43 total miles of trail, connecting communities across seven regional areas.

Ribbon cutting + group ride

Hanover County will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony to commemorate construction progress on Wednesday, Sept. 24, at 3 p.m. Folks can meet in Ashland at 12439 Maple St. This event is free and open to the public; registration is optional.

Leading up to the ceremony, Bike Walk RVA will host Roll Out to The Ribbon Cutting, a 14.8-mile group ride to the Ashland ribbon-cutting. The ride will start at Lakeside’s Bryan Park at 1:30 p.m.
