If you’re just getting started

Richmond City Yoga , 212 E. Clay St.
Attend a Mysore class with instructor Robbie Norris — there’s no registration required and mats are provided. Private individual and group sessions are also available.

The Yoga Dojo , 6517 Dickens Pl.
The studio recommends starting out with the Bottle Rocket or Vinyasa Flow class if you’re a first timer. There are also new member specials and drop-in deals for students, teachers, and first responders.

3S Yoga , 2400 Jefferson Ave.
Classes at this studio are designed for all levels. See what classes are like by following a free yoga class on the studio’s YouTube channel .

Glenmore Yoga and Wellness Center , 10442 Ridgefield Pkwy.
The intimate, informal yoga classes at this studio will give you confidence in the flow of postures, breath awareness, and guided relaxation. A drop-in class is $20.

Synergy Yoga , 1123 Gaskins Rd.
Join a beginner class and take advantage of the new student special of three classes for $30.

Guiding Tree Yoga , 12205 Gayton Rd., Ste. B
With six all level classes to choose from and a new member rate of $35 for the first month, Guiding Tree will get you hooked on yoga.

RVA Yoga Hang , locations vary
Join in for a one hour, all levels vinyasa class at various locations around the city, from breweries to local businesses to the Diamond. Pro tip: Your ticket to the event typically includes something from the venue for after the class, like a beer from the brewery or a seat at a Squirrels game.

The Well Collective , 13 S. 13th St. Ste. 100
Drop in for a single class or join as a monthly member for access to more classes like Gentle Movement + Breath and Heated Power Yoga.

BareSOUL , locations vary
In addition to hosting classes at The Well Collective, this group organizes community events around the city like rooftop yoga at The Graduate .

Align RVA Community Yoga at the VMFA , 200 N. Arthur Ashe Blvd.
Save your spot at this outdoor yoga class that’s family-friendly and good for beginners. It takes place on select Saturdays from May-October.

Yoga in RVA at Brambly Park , 1708 Belleville St.
Register for this pop-up class on summer Sundays at 9 a.m. For $10, instructor Tatyana Leblanc leads an outdoor class for all levels.

SUP Flow , Brown’s Island, Tredegar St.
Try something new with this floating yoga experience on the James River. Paddleboard basics and all materials are provided — you can also schedule a one-on-one session .

Humble Haven Yoga , 6980 Forest Ave.
Try out classes including Power Vinyasa, Yoga Build, and Power Up at this recently expanded studio. You can also check out special events and retreats .

This Virginia chain of studios offers six core classes and encourages developing your practice through a loyalty program .

Foundation Flow at the Branch Museum , 2501 Monument Ave.
Instructor Erin Lingo leads a weekly pay-what-you-can class on Tuesdays at the museum at 5:30 p.m.

Richmond’s first hot yoga studio has been open since 2002 and offers classes including Bikram Yoga, Inferno Hot Pilates, and Yin Yoga.
