GRTC is adding three more zones to its on-demand transit service, LINK. The new service will launch in Clover Dale, Ashland, and Powhatan on consecutive Mondays starting with Clover Dale on March 11.

Service in Ashland will begin on March 18 and Powhatan on March 25.

LINK is a microtransit service where users can order rides through the GRTC On The Go app. It is fare-free and available weekdays from 5 a.m. until 8 p.m. with no limit to how many rides can be requested.

The first zone launched in Azalea in November 2023. At the launch event, local leaders emphasized the promising aspects of microtransit and teased expansion to New Kent as well.
