Richmond’s summer concert series, Friday Cheers, returns to Brown’s Island this May. Venture Richmond dropped the full lineup of performers today.
Tickets to each show are $10 in advance and $15 at the gate. Children under 12 are free. Concerts are from 6 to 9:30 p.m. with music starting around 6:30 — you can expect headliners to go on at around 8 p.m.
Country artist Bella White will kick off the series, supported by Colby T. Helms and The Virginia Creepers. RVA Music Night also returns this year, featuring a night of all-local tunes.

- May 10 – Daniel Donato’s Cosmic Country with Mackenzie Roark & the Hotpants
- May 24 – RVA Music Night, featuring The Legendary Ingramettes with Woody Woodworth & the Piners and Knifing Around
- May 31 – Sir Chloe with Prabir Trio and Deux Visages
- June 7 – Mdou Moctar with Leon III
- June 14 – Ritchy Mitch and the Coalminers with Deau Eyes
- June 21 – Digable Planets with Tre. Charles
- June 28 – Sam Barber with Jake Kohn and Villages
This will be the 39th year of Friday Cheers at Brown’s Island, making it the city’s longest-running concert series and the largest event of its kind on the James River.
