VPM will broadcast performances from last year’s Richmond Folk Festival each Saturday at 5 p.m. until Sept. 21. The summer program starts Saturday, June 22.

The Encore broadcasts will feature performances by acts from across the country and around the world. Genres include Quebecois folk, bluegrass, Mexican son jarocho, gospel, and traditional Ukrainian music.

Encore will be broadcast on both 107.3 FM and 93.1 FM, as well as on VPM’s website.

The Folk Fest will return to the riverside the weekend of Sept. 27-29. VPM will also broadcast the free event live on the air.

Did you know? The first round of artists for this year’s event have already been announced.
