City Stadium may have been built in 1929, but it’s about to have some new tech. A new video scoreboard is set to be unveiled on Thursday, Aug. 29.

The new videoboard is 40% bigger than the current scoreboard. Fans will be able to see high-definition replay, interactive activities, and animated graphics — and, you know, the score of the game — while they up the Roos.

With this addition, ownership group 22 Holdings, LLC will have invested $4 million in stadium improvements in the last five years. The club signed a 40-year lease in 2016.

The Kickers will face Spokane Velocity FC on Thurday, Aug. 29 at 7 p.m. in a USL League One Cup match. It’s also Night at the Museums, so expect appearances and interactive exhibits from several local museums. GA tickets are $17.
