Abi’s Books and Brews, The Fan
Sip on fresh coffee and find your next read at this cozy coffee shop and book store.

Ash & Olive, Ashland
This Euro-American restaurant comes from the drummer of yacht rock favorites Three Sheets to the Wind.

Baltik’s Bagels, Forest Hill
Richmond’s bagel boom includes this Southside spot, which opened to much fanfare with a week of free bagels in October.

Bar-Q, The Fan
The Norfolk barbecue restaurant has a home on Main Street as of November. It specializes in Central Texas-style brisket.

Brick Fire, City Center
The wood-fired pizza restaurant opened in the former Maya space.

B-Side Bakehouse, Museum District
The croissant-focused bakery opened on Sheppard Street in November.

Corner Rock Café, Midlothian
Fuel your day with this shop’s coffee options, breakfast and lunch menu, and milkshakes.

Davvero Gelato, Lakeside
This ice cream shop also serves coffee out of its new brick and mortar, which opened in September.

Ford’s Garage, Short Pump
The first Virginia location of this automotive-themed chain is in West Broad Village.

Hots and Brats, Carytown
Find specialty hot dogs and other hand crafted sausages at The Mayor Meats in Carytown.

Goldwing, Scott’s Addition
This cocktail and dessert bar comes from the owners of Fighting Fish and opened right next door in October.

Memi’s, The Fan
The former Barrio location has become an Egyptian-Middle Eastern restaurant.

Susie’s, The Fan
Owner Yael Cantor moved her Jewish-Mediterranean pop-up into a permanent location on Cary Street in November.

Sweet P’s, Jackson Ward
Chef Antonio Owen opened this American restaurant in the former Club House Lounge location in September.

Zorch Pizza Parlor, Forest Hill
The former Don’t Look Back space is now home to the Southside Zorch Pizza outpost.

Adarra, Oregon Hill
The Jackson Ward restaurant is bringing its modern Basque-inspired menu to the former Mamma Zu space.

Brave Captain, VCU
The nautical bar plans to honor the memory of Mojo’s as it moves in to the Cary Street space.

Brazen, The Fan
The new restaurant will focus on slow cooked foods and detailed dishes.

Chez Nous, Monroe Ward
This wine bar will have a French-inspired wine list and small bites menu.

Fat Kid Sandwiches, Capitol District
This former Hatch Food Hall standby is looking forward to opening a sandwich shop downtown, complete with made-to-order breakfast sandwiches and a grab-and-go market section.

Julio’s Bagels, Brookland Park
The venture from Pizza Bones owner Ashley Patino plans to open this winter on Brookland Park Boulevard.

Kobop at Väsen Brewing, Forest Hill
The Scott’s Addition brewery is expanding south of the river and including a permanent space for Korean barbecue pop-up Kobop. The projected opening is summer 2025.

Oro, Union Hill
The fresh pasta staple of many local farmers markets is opening a brick and mortar in March 2025.

Qahwah House, VCU
This regional chain specializes in Yemeni coffee and is open late. It’s located in the former Virginia Book Co. space.

Scotty’s Taphouse, Scott’s Addition
The “eatertainment” concept replaces Slingshot Social Game Club and is eyeing a late 2024 opening.

Secret Squares, Church Hill
This longtime pop-up takes weekend pre-orders out of its new space already, but it plans to open its full-service space soon.

Steampunk Pizza, Ashland
The owners of Industrial Taphouse will open this pizza concept in early 2025.

Thai Boat, The Fan
A new Thai concept from the family behind Mom’s Siam is coming to their former Pik Nik space.

The Fishin’ Pig, Innsbrook
The Farmville-born restaurant is opening a location in Glen Allen, serving Memphis-style barbecue, seafood, and hearty sides.

Wong’s Tacos, Hanover
The local fusion restaurant is expanding to a fourth location in spring 2025, this time in the Rutland Park area of Hanover.

Ugly Dumpling, Willow Lawn
The New Jersey-based chain has pushed its opening to early 2025.
