Now the days are getting longer again and the grayest days of winter are — hopefully — behind us, birding season is just around the corner. Some birds are here year-round, of course, but the weather’s beginning to get more human-friendly.

While you definitely don’t need to leave your house to see birds in Virginia, bird-spotting walks can be a wonderful way to get out and explore the River City.

We want your input — what are the best places to go bird watching around Richmond? Send us your favorite parks, ponds, and walking routes and you could be featured in a future newsletter.
