The summer outdoor concert series will return in May

Richmond’s longest-running concert series, Friday Cheers, returns to Brown’s Island this May. Venture Richmond dropped the full lineup of performers yesterday.

Indie artist Snail Mail will headline the first show on May 5, supported by Water From Your Eyes and Dazy. This year also sees the return of RVA Music Night, an evening of all-local talent.

Pro tip: If there are three artists, the evening will get started at 6:15 p.m. For two-act nights, it’ll be 6:30 p.m. Headliners are on at 8 p.m.

Here’s the full schedule:

  • May 5 | Snail Mail, Water From Your Eyes, Dazy
  • May 12 | Sierra Ferrell, Chris Leggett & The Copper Line
  • May 26 | RVA Music Night: Butcher Brown, Celler Dwellers, Cassidy Snider & The Wranglers
  • June 2 | Sampa The Great, Kenneka Cook
  • June 9 | Watchhouse, Palmyra
  • June 16 | Tank and the Bangas, Piranha Rama
  • June 23 | The Vegabonds, Kind Hearted Strangers
  • June 30 | Flipturn, Holy Roller

Tickets for all shows are $10 in advance and $15 at the door. Kids 12 and under are free. In love with the lineup? Season tickets are $55 now, but will go up to $65 on Saturday, March 4.
