  • Local gourmet grocery store Yellow Umbrella is moving to Scott’s Addition at the old Blue Bee Cider location. The site will be home to Yellow Umbrella’s first full-service restaurant as well as a market, expected to open in early 2024. (Richmond BizSense)

  • Hanover residents can expect to see a question about how school board members are selected on this November’s ballot. The school board is currently appointed by the county’s board of supervisors; the referendum will ask about shifting to an elected school board. (VPM)

  • The Ashland Theatre has announced its 1948 film series in honor of its 75th anniversary. The year-long series will feature 75 cent screenings on one Monday per month, including “Macbeth,” “The Red Shoes,” “Easter Parade,” and “Bicycle Thieves.” Check out the full schedule.
